How much does a wedding at Finca El Cañuelo cost?
Finca El Cañuelo publishes two guide prices rather than one: €40,000 for up to 70 guests in the Monolith area and €70,000 for up to 100 across the Monolith and the main garden, each with a two-night stay in two of the estate's houses. The food is not priced in the record. This page sets out what each tier buys, what it comes to per guest, who sleeps in the 11 beds, and how a garden above Bolonia beach compares with the other Andalusian venues that price a stay into the wedding.

Two prices, two guest counts
Love Garden – Finca El Cañuelo is a coastal finca above Bolonia, on the Atlantic side of the Strait of Gibraltar, and its wedding pricing is tied to how much of the garden you use. The from-price is €40,000 for weddings of up to 70 guests held in the Monolith area, the estate's main wedding space, and that figure includes a two-night stay in two of the houses on the estate. For a larger wedding of up to 100 guests, the Monolith is joined to the main garden and the guide price starts at €70,000, with the same two nights in two houses attached. Both are for the 2027 to 2028 season.
The site itself can hold up to 350, and the record gives a minimum of 40 for both the ceremony and the reception, so the two published tiers are guide prices for the shapes the venue sees most often rather than the limits of what it will host. A wedding of 150 or more is a conversation with the venue, and so is one of 40.
What is inside the figure, and what is not
Inside: full exclusivity of the finca, the two-night stay in two houses, the Monolith area and, at the upper tier, the main garden as well. The minimum stay is two nights, which matches what the price carries. Outside: the food and the drink. In-house catering is listed among the venue's features, but the record gives no per-head figure and does not say that any catering is included, so plan on a quote at enquiry and keep it as a separate line in the budget. Suppliers are outside too. The venue keeps a supplier list, and a bridal changing room and a sound system are on site, but the photographer, the florist, the music and the transport from the coast are yours to book. For the figure to become a budget, the catering quote is the number to get first.
The guide prices per guest
Because each tier is published for a stated guest count, the two can be read per head. The rows below divide each guide price by the guest count it is quoted for. They carry the two nights and the garden, not the food, so they are the venue's share of the cost of a seat, not the cost of a seat.
The jump between the tiers is larger than the jump in guests, because the second tier opens up the main garden as well as the Monolith. A couple with a list of 75 should ask whether the Monolith can take a few more before assuming the higher tier applies. For the rest of the budget at either count, the budget calculator adds catering, drinks and suppliers to a venue figure.
Eleven beds and the village below
The finca sleeps 11, and the two houses in the price are where the couple and their closest family stay for the two nights. That is a small number for a wedding of 70 or 100, and the record is frank about it: local accommodation is noted as nearby and the venue keeps a hotel recommendation list. Bolonia is a small beach village, so for a list of this size the practical plan is to spread guests between Bolonia and the larger towns along the coast and lay on transport, which is a supplier line to add from the start. The venue is child friendly and pets are welcome, and there is a swimming pool on the estate for the days either side. For venues where more of the list sleeps on site, our guide to Spanish venues with accommodation lists the houses with 20 or more beds in the hire.
The Monolith, the main garden and the quiet corner
Three settings are listed. The Monolith is the main wedding area and takes the ceremony and the celebration for up to 70. The main garden is joined to it for weddings of up to 100. And there is a smaller, secluded spot within the garden that looks over pine forest to the Atlantic, for a ceremony apart from the dinner. The garden itself is the reason couples come: Japanese-influenced planting with pruned trees, granite sculptures and small lakes, enclosed by ancient sandstone megaliths and pine forest, with the Strait of Gibraltar below and the African coast visible on a clear day. The record does not list a marriage licence, so the ceremony here is a symbolic one with the legal formalities completed at home, which for most non-resident foreign couples is the route they would take in Spain regardless. Our guide to how to get married in Spain covers what the symbolic ceremony involves and what the paperwork at home requires.
Getting to Bolonia
The nearest airport by straight line is Jerez (XRY), about 76 km away. The venue's own note puts Jerez Airport at an hour and Málaga at two hours by road. For a guest list arriving from several countries, Málaga has the wider choice of flights and the longer drive; Jerez is the shorter transfer. The finca is on the coast, so wine tasting, trekking and a yacht charter are the experiences the venue lists for the day before or after, and the beach at Bolonia is below the garden.
Reading it against the region
Three other Andalusian venues price a stay into the wedding, and each puts a different number of beds and a different amount of the wedding inside the figure. Their published figures are below.
Jimena de la Frontera · Andalusia
Cortijo Romanup to 180 guests · sleeps 22 · 2-night minimum · from €25,000
Vejer de la Frontera · Andalusia
Casa La Siestaup to 120 guests · sleeps 25 · 3-night minimum · from €19,000 · catering €125 a head
Finca La Donaira, an equestrian farm near Ronda, is the closest in price: €37,000 with two nights for 20, and unlike El Cañuelo the food and drink are inside it, though weddings are capped at 80. Cortijo Roman is €25,000 for 120 guests with two nights for 22 and the food, drink, flowers and photography included, and it takes up to 180. Casa La Siesta, a country house hotel near Vejer further up the same coast, is €19,000 with three nights for 22 and catering at €125 a head, for up to 120 guests. El Cañuelo is the dearest of the four on the headline and carries the fewest beds and no catering; what it has that none of them has is the garden and the view across the Strait, which is what the difference is paying for.
The Andalusia wedding cost guide puts the region's priced venues in one place, venues by budget bands the full collection by starting price, and our guide to venues for 100 guests covers the upper tier's guest count across Spain.
Who it is for
Finca El Cañuelo is for couples whose first requirement is the setting: an outdoor wedding in a garden with the Atlantic and Africa in view, for 70 to 100 guests, with the couple and their family sleeping on the estate and the rest of the list in the village and along the coast. The guide prices are high for what they include, and the catering is on top, so the venue suits a budget that starts from the place and works outwards rather than one that starts from a total. A couple who want the beds and the food settled in a single number will find Cortijo Roman or Finca La Donaira a tidier read, and a couple with a list under 40 will not meet the minimum. For a wedding that is about the garden, the figure here is what the garden costs for two nights, and the venue is open about which guest counts it is written for.
Questions couples ask us
How much does a wedding at Finca El Cañuelo cost?
The published guide price is €40,000 for weddings of up to 70 guests in the Monolith area, including a two-night stay in two of the houses on the estate. For up to 100 guests, using the Monolith and the main garden together, the guide price rises to €70,000, again with the two nights in two houses.
Is the food included?
The record lists in-house catering among the features but gives no per-head figure and does not state that food is inside the guide price, so treat catering and drinks as quoted on enquiry rather than included.
How many people can stay on the estate?
The finca sleeps 11, and the two-night stay in the price covers two of its houses. The record notes local accommodation nearby and the venue keeps a hotel recommendation list, so most of a 70-guest list sleeps in Bolonia or along the coast.
What is the smallest wedding the venue takes?
The record gives a minimum of 40 guests for both the ceremony and the reception, with a ceiling of 350 across the whole site. The two published guide prices are written for 70 and 100.
