How much does a wedding at Finca Son Vila cost?

At €3,500 for a day's exclusive use, Finca Son Vila has the lowest published from-price of any Mallorca venue in our collection, and it pairs that figure with room for 300 guests and no curfew. The hire covers the villa, its four areas and a suite for the couple overnight; everything you eat, drink and sit on is extra. This guide explains what the day includes, what it does not, how the hire behaves across very different guest counts, and how the villa compares with the island's other hire-first fincas.

The lowest published price on the island

Finca Son Vila is a country villa with a classical stone façade, green gardens and a pool terrace looking towards the mountains, and it publishes a from-price of €3,500 for the 2027 to 2028 season. Among the Mallorca venues in our collection that publish a figure at all, that is the lowest. The record says the price buys the finca for one day with exclusive use, plus a suite for the couple overnight, with check-out at 11 the next morning. The feature list also carries a one-night minimum stay, which is the suite: the hire is a day and a night, not a weekend.

What makes the number interesting is the capacity beside it. The villa takes up to 300 guests for both the ceremony and the reception, from a minimum of two, which is the largest capacity of any Mallorca venue we list and more than double the limit at several of the fincas priced above it.

What the day includes

Exclusive use of the whole finca, with four areas to move between: a large outdoor reception terrace at the front of the villa, the terrace beside the big pool with the mountains beyond, the grass lawns, and an indoor room the record describes as spacious and fully adaptable. All four are multipurpose, so the ceremony, the drinks, the dinner and the dancing can be placed in whichever order the light and the weather suggest. The villa has a bridal changing room, a licensed bar, car parking and disabled access, welcomes children and pets, and keeps a list of recommended caterers, suppliers and planners. The record lists no music curfew and no curfew on the party.

What it does not

The food, the drinks, the furniture and the suppliers. Son Vila publishes no per-head catering figure and no drinks figure; the caterers on its recommended list quote once they know the date and the number. The licensed bar means the drinks run through the venue rather than a corkage deal, but the bar price is on request too. With a villa hired empty for a day, assume the tables, chairs, linen, lighting and any marquee for a wet-weather plan are supplier lines as well, and ask the estate directly which of those it can provide. Beyond the couple's suite there are no beds in the record, so the whole party, parents included, sleeps elsewhere; the venue notes local accommodation nearby and keeps a hotel recommendation list.

For a sense of what the food might add, the two Mallorca estates that do publish catering figures quote from €120 a head at Finca Morneta and from €150 at Finca Son Sampol. At anything near those rates, the catering for even 50 guests outweighs Son Vila's hire, and for 300 the hire becomes a rounding error in the budget. That is the arithmetic that makes a low fixed hire attractive to a big wedding.

The hire at 50, 150 and 300 guests

With no catering figure to add, the table shows the one calculation the record supports: the published hire divided among the guests. It is not a cost per head for the wedding, only the villa's share of it.

50 guests · hire €3,500 divided across the list €70 a head
150 guests · hire €3,500 divided across the list €23 a head
300 guests · hire €3,500 divided across the list €12 a head

The budget calculator lets you put a caterer's quote beside these figures and see the full wedding, and venues by budget shows how far below the rest of the collection €3,500 sits.

Three settings for the vows

The record lists three ceremony options. The pool terrace, with the water in front and the mountains behind, is the one the villa is known for. The outdoor reception terrace at the front of the house is the second, and the indoor room is the third, a covered space for a wedding that wants walls or a day that turns wet. No marriage licence appears among the villa's features, so the ceremony here is symbolic, with the legal step taken at home before or after. For most foreign couples that is the only practical route in Spain in any case, as our guide to the legal side explains.

A suite for one night, then check-out at 11

The hire gives the couple a suite at the villa on the wedding night, with check-out at 11 the next morning. That is the whole of the on-site accommodation; the record gives no sleeping figure beyond it. In practice the wedding party stays in nearby towns and travels in for the day, which suits a 300-guest wedding better than it sounds, since no estate on the island sleeps a list of that size. Couples who want family under the same roof should look at venues with accommodation; on Mallorca, Son Sampol sleeps 16 and Son Doblons 18.

Reaching the villa

The nearest airport by straight line is Palma (PMI), roughly 40 km from the finca. The record gives no drive time or address beyond the island, so ask the estate for the route and for the towns it recommends for guests. The car parking is on site, and with no curfew there is no fixed hour by which coaches must be loaded, though for a list of 300 it is still worth agreeing a departure plan with the transport company rather than leaving it to the night.

Beside the island's other hire-first fincas

Three other Mallorca estates in our collection charge for the place and quote the food separately, all of them at a higher hire than Son Vila and all with a smaller capacity.

Finca Morneta is €4,500 plus VAT with the suite for the night, catering from €120 and drinks from €60, for up to 150 guests. Finca Binissati is €4,500 with one night for two, a nine-hour event for up to 200, and the planner, cleaning and SGAE fee inside the hire. Finca Son Sampol is €4,800 for ten hours, sleeps 16, takes 200 and quotes catering from €150. Son Vila undercuts all three on the hire and outreaches them on capacity; what it gives up is beds, a published food figure and the inclusions Binissati writes into its price.

The Mallorca wedding cost guide compares every published figure on the island, and the full collection lets you filter by capacity.

Who it is for

Son Vila suits a large wedding on a tight venue budget: a list of 150 to 300, a party that wants to run late, and a couple content to build the day from suppliers rather than take a package. It also works for a tiny wedding, since the minimum is two and the hire is small enough that a wedding of 20 is not paying for an estate it will not use. It suits less well if you want beds for family, a published food price, or a fully staffed event with the logistics pre-solved, which is what Son Sampol's higher hire pays for. For the pool terrace and the mountains at this price, the villa stands alone on the island.
