How much does a wedding at Cortijo Roman cost?
Cortijo Roman publishes a from-price of €25,000 for 120 guests, and almost nothing is left outside it: two nights of exclusive use, beds for 22, the ceremony styling, the dinner, the open bar, the DJ, the flowers, hair and make-up, and the photographer are all in. There is no per-head catering figure because the food is already in the price. This page lists what that number buys, works out what it comes to per guest, names what still has to be paid for, and sets the cortijo beside the other Andalusian venues that sell a wedding as one package.

One number for the whole wedding
Most venue prices answer one question, usually what the building costs. The figure at Cortijo Roman answers nearly all of them. The published from-price is €25,000 for 120 wedding guests in the 2027 to 2028 season, and the record's note says it includes a two-night stay for 22 with food and drink. The list of what sits inside that figure is long enough to set out in full, because it is the reason the number looks high beside a bare hire and reasonable beside a finished budget.
Exclusive use of the cortijo for two nights, with the option to extend. Accommodation for 14 guests in bedrooms and eight more on sofa beds, with nearby hotels and transport for everyone else. Wedding planning and coordination from the first conversation. A styled ceremony with flowers, an arch, an altar and seating. Welcome drinks and canapés in the cloister. A three-course dinner under fairy lights in the meadow, looking towards Jimena de la Frontera and the Alcornocales Natural Park. An evening party with a DJ, a three-hour open bar that can be extended, the wedding cake and late-night snacks. A bridal bouquet, two bridesmaids' bouquets and buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen. Hair and make-up for the bride and two bridesmaids. And a photographer for five hours.
What the package does not cover
The price is quoted for 120 guests, and the cortijo takes up to 180 for both the ceremony and the reception, so the first unknown is what each guest beyond 120 adds. The record does not say, which makes it the first question for the enquiry. The second is beds: 22 people sleep on site, and the remainder of a 120-strong list is in hotels nearby, which the venue helps with but does not pay for. The third is time: the open bar is three hours and the photographer is five, and both can be extended at a cost the record does not state. Extra nights beyond the two are the same. Everything else that a couple might want beyond the list above, from a band in place of the DJ to a videographer, is an addition, and the venue's supplier list and recommended caterers are there to help you find it.
What it comes to per guest
Because the price is published for a stated number of guests, it can be read as a per-head figure in a way that a bare hire cannot. The row below divides the record's price by the record's guest count. It is a way of seeing the package, not a rate card: the venue does not sell by the head, and a smaller guest list does not shrink the figure in proportion.
Set that per-guest figure against the Andalusian houses that publish hire and catering separately, and remember it carries the open bar, the flowers, the photography, the hair and make-up and two nights of beds, none of which sit inside a catering price elsewhere. The budget calculator is built for the hire-plus-catering model, so for this venue the better use of it is to list what the package already covers and see what is left.
Five houses, 22 beds
The cortijo is a cluster of five guest houses in the foothills of the Alcornocales Natural Park, and between them they sleep 22: 14 in proper bedrooms and eight on sofa beds. For a wedding of 120 that is the couple, close family and the friends who help, with everyone else in hotels nearby and transport laid on between them, which the record lists as part of what the venue provides. For a far smaller wedding, 22 beds can hold most or all of the list, and the two nights become a house party with a ceremony in it. The minimum stay is two nights, the venue is child friendly and pets are welcome, and there is a pool and parking on site. Trekking, horse riding and star gazing are the experiences the venue lists for the day either side of the wedding. For how other venues handle a stay of this length, see our guide to wedding weekends in Spain.
The cloister and the licence
The ceremony setting is the cloister courtyard at the centre of the cortijo, with the village of Jimena de la Frontera and its Moorish castle in view. The package styles it with flowers, an arch, an altar and seating, so the picture most couples have of an outdoor ceremony in Andalusia is already paid for. The venue is licensed for marriage. That licence covers the place, not the people, and in practice most non-resident foreign couples cannot complete the legally binding civil ceremony in Spain; they hold a symbolic ceremony in the cloister and do the paperwork at home. Our guide to getting married in Spain as a foreign couple explains which routes are open. A bridal changing room and a sound system are listed among the features, so neither needs hiring.
Getting to Jimena
By straight line the nearest airport is Jerez (XRY), about 64 km away. The venue's own note puts Gibraltar Airport at around 40km, which for many guests from the United Kingdom will be the simpler route, with Málaga and Jerez the larger alternatives further along the coast. Jimena de la Frontera is inland from the Costa del Sol's western end, and the transport the package provides between the cortijo and the nearby hotels takes care of the last leg for guests who are not sleeping on site.
Other all-in packages in Andalusia
Two other venues in the region publish a price with the food and drink inside it, and a third publishes a stay with the catering priced separately. All three figures are from their own records.
San Martín del Tesorillo · Andalusia
Finca La Gloriaup to 100 guests · sleeps 15 · 3-night minimum · from €25,000 · catering €160 a head
Antequera · Andalusia
Hotel Fuente del Solup to 90 guests · sleeps 50 · 2-night minimum · from €22,000
Finca La Donaira, near Ronda, is €37,000 with two nights for 20 and the food and drink included, but it caps weddings at 80 guests, so a bigger wedding is not an option there. Hotel Fuente del Sol, near Antequera, is €22,000 with two nights for 38 with food and drink, takes up to 90 and sleeps 50, so more beds in the price for a smaller party. Finca La Gloria is the nearest geographically, also near the Gibraltar end of the coast: €25,000 with three nights for 14, catering at €160 a head on top, and a maximum of 100 guests. Cortijo Roman is the one among them that quotes for 120 guests and holds 180, and the only one whose package extends to the flowers, the photographer and the hair and make-up.
The Andalusia wedding cost guide reads the region's priced venues side by side, venues by budget bands the whole collection, and our guide to venues for 100 guests and more is where a list the size of this package belongs.
Who the package suits
Cortijo Roman is for couples who want the budget settled in one conversation and would rather spend the months before the wedding on the guest list than on supplier quotes. A wedding of 120 is what the price is written for, and a wedding of somewhere between 100 and 180 is what the cortijo is built for. The venue's record notes that its remaining 2026 dates are limited, which tells you how the package has been received. It suits less well a couple who want to choose every supplier themselves, or one whose list is far below 120 and who would be paying for a package sized for more. For that couple the Andalusian houses that price the hire and catering separately will be the better read, and the small and intimate venues guide is the place to start.
Questions couples ask us
How much does a wedding at Cortijo Roman cost?
The published from-price is €25,000 for 120 wedding guests in the 2027 to 2028 season. It is an all-in figure: two nights of exclusive use, beds for 22, the ceremony styling and flowers, welcome drinks and canapés, a three-course dinner, a DJ, a three-hour open bar, the cake, hair and make-up, and five hours of photography are all inside it.
What does the package leave out?
Guests beyond the 120 the price is quoted for, beds beyond the 22 on site, extra nights, and any extension to the three-hour open bar or the five hours of photography. The record does not price any of those, so ask for each one when you enquire.
Where do guests sleep?
Five houses on the cortijo sleep 22: 14 in bedrooms and a further eight on sofa beds. The venue lists nearby hotel options with transport for the rest of the list, and keeps a hotel recommendation list.
Can we marry legally at Cortijo Roman?
The cortijo is licensed for marriage, and the ceremony takes place in the cloister courtyard. The licence belongs to the venue rather than the couple, and most non-resident foreign couples cannot hold the binding civil ceremony in Spain, so they hold a symbolic ceremony in the cloister and complete the legal part at home.
