Three-day wedding weekend venues in Spain

Some Spanish estates are built for a wedding weekend rather than a wedding day: they sleep 20 or more and ask for two nights or more. 24 of the 55 venues we list fit that shape. Here they are, with what the stay includes and what a weekend does to the budget.

The shape of a Spanish wedding weekend

A three-day wedding in Spain follows a pattern the estates have settled into over years of hosting them. Guests arrive on the Friday and eat together, somewhere informal, often outside. Saturday is the wedding: ceremony late afternoon when the heat drops, dinner under the trees, the party as late as the venue allows. Sunday is a long lunch by the pool before people drift to the airport. The venue sells all of it as one stay, which is why "sleeps 28, three-night minimum, from €14,500" is a more honest description of a Spanish wedding venue than a capacity ever is.

We count a venue as a weekend estate when it sleeps 20 or more and asks for at least two nights. 24 of our 55 do. 11 of them ask for three nights or more; 13 sell a two-night weekend.

Three nights or more

These are the estates that only sell the long weekend. Several fold the catering into the stay, so the headline price is closer to the whole wedding than it looks.

What a weekend does to the budget

Two things happen when the wedding becomes a stay. The venue line gets larger, because you are hiring a house for three nights rather than a garden for an afternoon. And the catering line multiplies, because you are feeding people three times instead of once. The second effect is the one couples underestimate. A €150-a-head dinner for 100 guests is €15,000; add a welcome supper and a Sunday lunch for the 30 people sleeping on site and the food bill for the sleepers alone grows by several thousand before the bar.

Against that, a weekend estate removes a whole category of cost and anxiety: transport. Nobody on the property needs a shuttle, a taxi or a curfew-driven exit, and the venues that sleep the party are often the ones with no music curfew for the same reason. The budget calculator lets you set the guest count and venue type to see the whole number; the accommodation guide lists every venue with beds, including those without a minimum stay.

Questions to ask the estate

What is in the stay? Nights, beds, breakfasts, the welcome dinner, the Sunday lunch, staff, cleaning. Each estate draws the line somewhere different, and the venue page quotes what the published price says.

Can we add a night? Many estates will sell a fourth night at a lower rate than the third; some will not sell fewer than their minimum in peak season at all.

Who else is on the property? Exclusive use is the norm among the estates here, but confirm it for every night of the stay, not only the wedding day.

Questions couples ask us

What is a three-day wedding weekend venue?

An estate that sleeps a meaningful part of the guest list and sells its nights together, so the wedding is a stay rather than a day: a welcome dinner on the first evening, the ceremony and party on the second, a long lunch on the third. 24 of the 55 venues we list fit that shape, sleeping 20 or more on a minimum of two nights.

How much does a wedding weekend venue in Spain cost?

Across the 24 venues here, published from-prices run from €3,000 to €74,000, with a median of €14,500. The spread is mostly about what the figure includes: 6 state food and drink inside the stay, 12 include the nights and beds but not the catering, and the rest price the stay on request.

Do our guests have to stay all three nights?

Usually only the sleepers on the property do, and usually the venue decides the minimum, not the guests. Everyone staying off site comes and goes as they like. Ask whether the minimum is per booking or per bed; most estates sell the house as a whole.

Which regions do wedding weekends best?

Barcelona has 15, Andalusia has 5, Ibiza has 3 of the 24 weekend estates we list. Barcelona's masías and Andalusia's cortijos were built as houses for large families, which is why they take to a weekend so naturally; the islands lean towards hotel takeovers or shorter stays.
