How much does a wedding at Finca Morneta cost?

Finca Morneta is the one Mallorca estate in our collection that publishes all three of the numbers a wedding budget needs: a hire of €4,500 plus VAT that includes the suite for the night, catering from €120 a head and drinks from €60 a head. That makes it the easiest venue on the island to cost before you enquire. This guide adds the three together at three guest counts, reads the small print on VAT and the minimum of 20, and compares the result with the other fincas that sell the estate and bill the food on top.

Published 25 October 2026 · Every figure from the venues' own published records

The three numbers

Finca Morneta is a 13th-century farmhouse estate a 20-minute drive from Palma, with 2000sqm of gardens, three historic interior chambers, an outdoor tent and a pool. Its published from-price is €4,500, stated as plus VAT, and the record says that figure buys the estate in exclusivity together with the Morneta Suite, a room with its own courtyard, for the wedding night. The second number is the catering, published from €120 per person. The third is the drinks, from €60 per person. Both come through the estate's list of recommended caterers rather than an in-house kitchen.

Most venues on the island publish one of those figures, sometimes two. Morneta publishing all three means you can put a floor under the wedding before a single email is sent, and that floor is what the table below sets out.

Hire, food and drink at three guest counts

Each row adds the published hire to the published catering and drinks for that number of guests, and stops. VAT on the hire, suppliers, hotel rooms for the party and any transport sit outside it, so read each total as the venue and the table, not the wedding.

40 guests · hire €4,500 + catering €4,800 + drinks €2,400 €11,700
80 guests · hire €4,500 + catering €9,600 + drinks €4,800 €18,900
150 guests · hire €4,500 + catering €18,000 + drinks €9,000 €31,500

Two things stand out. The hire is a small part of the total at every size, because the per-head figures do the heavy lifting from about 40 guests upwards. And the per-guest cost barely changes as the list grows, since nearly all of the money is already per head. Morneta therefore does not punish a smaller wedding the way estates with a large fixed hire do; the only floor is the stated minimum of 20 guests for the ceremony and reception. The intimate venues guide has more houses that behave this way.

Plus VAT, and the other small print

Morneta is unusually plain about VAT: the record states the €4,500 as a figure plus tax, where most venues leave you to ask. Budget for the tax on the hire and check whether the catering and drinks figures are quoted the same way, because the caterers are separate businesses and may state their prices differently. The minimum of 20 applies to both the ceremony and the reception, so a wedding for a dozen people would need to be discussed rather than booked off the page. The record also notes that the estate has limited dates left in 2026, which is worth knowing if you are reading this with a near date in mind rather than the 2027 to 2028 season the price is published for.

Where the ceremony goes

Three ceremony settings are listed. The gardens, 2000sqm of them, are the outdoor choice. The three interior chambers, rooms with centuries behind them, are the cover if the weather turns or if you want stone walls around the vows. The outdoor tent is the third, a covered space the record describes as suited to larger gatherings, and the same tent is where a dinner for the full 150 would be served. The record does not list a marriage licence among the estate's features, so treat the ceremony as symbolic, which is the route most foreign couples take in Spain anyway: the legal act happens at home and the vows happen in the garden. Our guide to marrying in Spain sets out why.

No curfew, in either sense

The feature list carries both "No Music Curfew" and "No Curfew", and the record's summary of what the estate is best for leads with exactly that: exclusive-use days with no cut-off, from micro weddings to large parties. On an island where many venues end the music at a fixed hour, this is Morneta's clearest selling point after the price transparency. Pair it with full exclusivity, a bridal changing room, car parking, disabled access and a welcome for children and pets, and the estate reads as a place built for a long evening rather than a timed event.

One suite, and everyone else nearby

Accommodation is the limit. The hire includes the Morneta Suite for the couple, and the record's sleeping figure is two, so there are no further beds on the estate for family or the wedding party. The venue keeps a hotel recommendation list and notes that local accommodation is nearby; with Palma 20 minutes away, the party has a whole city of hotels to choose from and a short taxi back after a late night. If having the inner circle under the same roof matters to you, Finca Son Sampol sleeps 16 and Son Doblons 18, and the accommodation guide covers the rest of Spain.

Twenty minutes from Palma

The record puts Mallorca Airport 20km away and Palma a 20-minute drive, which makes Morneta one of the most reachable estates on the island. By straight line the nearest airport is Palma (PMI), about 19 km off. For a wedding with guests arriving from several countries that distance is the difference between a transfer and a journey, and it is why the estate can sensibly send the party back to city hotels rather than needing beds of its own.

Compared with the island's other hire-first fincas

Three other Mallorca estates in our collection price the place and leave the food to a quote. Only one of them, Son Sampol, also publishes a catering figure, and none publishes a drinks figure.

  • Mallorca

    Finca Son Sampol

    up to 200 guests · sleeps 16 · from €4,800 · catering €150 a head

Finca Son Sampol is €4,800 for a ten-hour event with catering from €150 a head, so a little more on both lines than Morneta, in exchange for 16 beds on site and room for 200. Finca Binissati matches Morneta's €4,500 and its night for two, takes 200 and folds the planner, the cleaning and the SGAE fee into the hire, but publishes no food figure. Finca Son Vila is cheaper still at €3,500 for a single day, with a suite for the couple and capacity for 300, and again no catering figure. Set against the three, Morneta's case is that you know the food and drink numbers before you write to anyone, and that the party can run as late as it likes.

The Mallorca cost guide reads all of the island's published figures together, venues by budget puts the whole collection in price bands, and the budget calculator adds suppliers and rooms to the totals above.

Is Morneta the right choice?

Choose Morneta if you want a cost you can calculate from the page, a party with no end time, and a historic estate close enough to Palma that nobody needs a bed on site. It fits a guest list from 20 to 150 without changing character, because almost all of the money is per head. It is a weaker fit if you want family staying with you, or a hotel-style package where one figure covers everything; for the first, look at Son Sampol or Son Doblons, and for the second, Hospes Maricel & Spa. The full collection sets the figures side by side, and the enquiry form goes straight to the estate.
