How much does a wedding at Finca Son Sampol cost?
Finca Son Sampol hosts one wedding a day and publishes a hire of €4,800 for up to ten hours of it, with catering from €150 a head on top. The hire is unusually specific about what it covers, from the Bedouin tent to the backup generator, and equally specific about the three services it makes compulsory. This guide reads the whole list, works the hire and the food through at three guest counts, explains who sleeps in the 16 beds, and compares the estate with the island's other hire-first fincas.

What €4,800 pays for
Finca Son Sampol takes a single event each day, so the estate is yours alone, and its published from-price for the 2027 to 2028 season is €4,800. The record itemises the hire more fully than almost any other venue on the island. It covers exclusive use of the finca, an event of up to ten hours with timings agreed on request, Son Sampol staff present throughout, security personnel during the final hours, all of the permanent ambient lighting across the grounds, parking for up to 100 vehicles with space for coaches up to 12 metres long carrying around 55 passengers, a supplier area with its own restroom facilities, the 250 square metre Bedouin tent, a contracted electrical supply of 19KW, and a 60KW backup generator in case the external power fails.
That last pair of lines is the tell. A venue that publishes its power contract and its generator capacity is one that has hosted enough bands, lighting rigs and catering kitchens to know where weddings go wrong, and it is pricing the fix into the hire rather than leaving it to the day.
The compulsory services
Three services are stated as mandatory and sit outside the €4,800. The first is the SGAE music rights tax, which every Spanish venue has to account for and which some fold into their hire and others, like Son Sampol, invoice separately. The second is a cleaning and maintenance service during the event. The third is that all lighting installations must be coordinated through the finca, which in practice means your lighting supplier works with the estate's own contractor rather than rigging independently. None of the three is priced in the record, so ask for the figures with the hire quote and add them to the totals below before you compare Son Sampol with a venue that includes them.
Catering from €150: the figure that drives the total
Food comes from the estate's recommended caterers and is published from €150 per person, the highest per-head catering figure among the Mallorca venues in our collection. Drinks are not published, so budget a separate bar line. The table adds the hire to the catering at three guest counts and nothing more: the compulsory services, the drinks, the suppliers and the rooms are all still to come.
The hire is modest, so the food sets the shape of the budget from about 40 guests upward, and the total climbs almost in a straight line with the list. A wedding of 60 and a wedding of 200 pay the same for the estate; what separates them is the caterer's invoice. The stated minimum is six guests for both the ceremony and the reception, so a small wedding is possible on paper, though the fixed hire and the tent make more sense at the larger end. Our guide to venues for 100 guests places Son Sampol among the estates that work at that size.
Sixteen beds and a hotel list
The estate sleeps 16, which puts the couple, parents and most of a wedding party under one roof on the night. Accommodation is not described as part of the hire in the record, so ask whether the beds are priced into the €4,800 or charged per room. Everyone past the sixteenth guest stays off site; the venue notes local accommodation nearby and keeps a hotel recommendation list. The venues with accommodation guide is the place to look if you want more of the list sleeping where the wedding is, and on Mallorca only Hospes Maricel & Spa, with rooms for 102, does that at scale.
Between the ceremony and the dinner the estate offers a swimming pool, a bridal changing room, an on-site planner and a supplier list, with wine tasting and cooking classes among the experiences for the days around the wedding. Children and pets are welcome and the estate has disabled access.
The ceremony and the tent
The record does not name a ceremony spot, so the choice of where to say the vows is one to settle on a site visit, with the tent as the obvious cover and the grounds, lit by the estate's permanent ambient lighting after dark, as the open-air alternative. Nothing in the feature list mentions a marriage licence, which means a symbolic ceremony with the legal paperwork completed at home. That is the standard route for foreign couples in Spain, where the binding civil wedding is seldom available to non-residents; the how-to-get-married guide explains the alternatives.
Twenty-three kilometres from the airport
The record puts Palma Airport 23km from the estate. By straight line the nearest airport is Palma (PMI), about 17 km away. The coach provision matters here: with parking for vehicles up to 12 metres and around 55 passengers each, a 200-guest wedding can be moved from city hotels to the finca in a handful of coaches, and the security staff through the closing hours mean the end of the night is marshalled rather than improvised. The ten-hour window is worth planning around, since a late ceremony pushes the finish into the hours you are paying security for.
Beside the island's other hire-first estates
Four other Mallorca venues in our collection sell the estate and bill the food separately. Only one of them, Morneta, publishes a catering figure of its own.
Finca Morneta is €4,500 plus VAT with catering from €120 and drinks from €60, so cheaper on every published line, but it sleeps two and stops at 150 guests. Finca Binissati is also €4,500 for a nine-hour event with the SGAE fee, cleaning and a planner inside the hire, exactly the items Son Sampol charges for separately, though it sleeps only eight. Finca Son Vila is €3,500 for a day with capacity for 300 and a suite for the couple. Son Doblons, at €15,000 with 18 beds and a five-night minimum, is the estate to look at if the 16 beds here have made you think about a whole-week wedding. What Son Sampol offers that the cheaper fincas do not is the tent, the coach parking, the power and the staffing, all written into the price.
The Mallorca wedding cost guide reads every published figure on the island together, venues by budget bands the whole collection, and the budget calculator adds the drinks, the compulsory services and the suppliers to the totals above.
Who Son Sampol suits
Son Sampol is for couples who want the logistics of a large wedding solved in advance: a tent already standing, power already contracted, coaches already catered for, staff and security already in the hire. It fits a list of 100 to 200 best, with 16 of them sleeping on site and the rest in Palma, 23km away. It is less of a fit for a very small wedding, where the fixed hire and the tent are more than you need, or for couples who want the music fee and cleaning inside the price rather than on a second invoice. The full collection shows every Mallorca figure side by side, and an enquiry goes to the estate with no fee from us.
