How much does a wedding at Mas Bosc cost?

Mas Bosc is a restored modernist country house on a hilltop an hour from Barcelona, and it publishes its wedding hire from €6,500 with a two-night stay for 20 inside the figure. Food is quoted separately through recommended caterers, and the venue is unusually clear about what the hire does and does not cover. This guide reads the record line by line, explains the extra-night and extra-bed supplements, and compares the house with four other Catalan venues in the same price band.

What the venue says the price covers

Mas Bosc publishes a from-price of €6,500 for the 2027 to 2028 season, and the record is more precise than most about what sits inside it. The figure is framed around a wedding of 100 guests and includes a two-night stay for 20 people in the house. On the wedding day you have access to every space on the property, with a member of the Mas Bosc team present throughout to make sure the facilities are used properly and to help out where needed. The venue lists full exclusivity, so no other event shares the hilltop with you.

The record is just as clear about what is not covered. Wedding planning and coordination are not included, so if you want someone running the timeline you bring a planner or ask the caterer. Food is not included either: Mas Bosc works with recommended caterers rather than an in-house kitchen, and it publishes no per-head rate, so the dinner is quoted on enquiry. There is a licensed bar on site, but no drinks figure in the record.

Extra nights and extra beds

Two supplements are stated and both are worth knowing before you plan the weekend. An additional night for the people sleeping in the house is charged at €40 plus VAT per person. And a maximum of five additional beds can be added to the house, which takes the sleeping from the 20 in the price up to a hard ceiling of 25. The minimum stay is two nights, so the two nights in the price are also the shortest booking the venue offers; a third night is the per-person supplement, not a new hire.

That structure makes Mas Bosc easy to cost once the catering quote is in. The hire is fixed at €6,500 for the two nights, the beds are capped, and the only variable the venue itself adds is the per-person figure for extra nights. Everything else, from the caterer to the band to the transport up the hill, is yours to source, and the budget calculator will add those lines to the hire for your own guest count.

Why there is no worked table here

On venue pages where the record gives a per-head catering price we add it to the hire at three guest counts. Mas Bosc gives no such figure, so we will not guess at one. What we can say is that the hire does not change between 20 and 180 guests, which means the cost per guest of the venue alone falls steadily as the list grows, and the food becomes the line that moves. If you want a sense of what catering costs at comparable Catalan houses, the comparison venues further down this page publish per-head rates between €120 and €163, though those are their figures and not Mas Bosc's.

The house, and who sleeps in it

The accommodation is six double bedrooms and one triple, all en suite, which the venue describes as sleeping 15 to 20. In practice that is the couple, their parents and the closest friends, with the rest of a 100-guest list booking in the villages around Castellnou de Bages or back in Manresa using the venue's hotel recommendation list. The house itself is a restored modernist building with renovated interiors, and the feature guests will remember is the infinity pool set above the surrounding countryside, with poolside space used in the evening. The venue lists wine tasting and trekking among its experiences, which suits a two-night stay in the hills of the Bages.

If sleeping most of the list on site matters more than the setting, the comparison section below includes houses that sleep up to 25 in the price, and our guide to venues with accommodation ranks the Spanish collection by bed count.

Three places for the ceremony

The record lists three ceremony options. The grove is a ceremony among the trees and is described as the quietest corner of the property. The garden ceremony is outdoors around the modernist house. The third option is the indoor hall, a large climate-controlled room used when the weather turns, which the venue's own summary describes as the full-size indoor plan for a flexible outdoor day. That last point is more valuable than it sounds: many Catalan estates have a covered terrace as the wet-weather fallback, and a proper hall with climate control means a January or August wedding is not at the mercy of the forecast.

Mas Bosc is not listed as licensed for marriage, so the ceremony in the grove or garden is a symbolic one for foreign couples, with the legal formalities completed at home before or after. Our guide to getting married in Spain explains how that works and why most non-resident couples choose it in any case.

Getting up the hill

The venue puts Barcelona Airport at 90 km and the city at about an hour by road. By straight line the nearest airport in our list is Barcelona (BCN), about 66 km away. Castellnou de Bages is inland, north of Manresa, so guests driving from the airport head away from the coast rather than along it, which keeps them clear of the summer traffic to Sitges and the Costa Brava. Car parking is on site and the venue lists disabled access and describes itself as child friendly and pet friendly.

Four Catalan houses in the same price band

Each of the venues below publishes a hire that includes two nights for a house party, with the wider list arriving for the day. They bracket Mas Bosc on price, and two of them publish per-head catering, which Mas Bosc does not.

The Barcelona wedding cost guide goes through every priced venue in the region, and venues by budget puts the collection in bands if €6,500 is your anchor.

Who Mas Bosc suits

Choose Mas Bosc if you want a modern-feeling house rather than a stone masía, a guest list anywhere from 20 to 180, a weather plan that is a real room, and a hire whose supplements are written down in advance. It suits couples who are happy to bring their own planner and caterer, and who want a two-night base for close family with the wider list in nearby hotels. For a wedding of around 100, which is the number the venue builds its price around, our guide to venues for 100 guests sets it against the rest of the country.

It suits less well a couple who want everything inside one figure, or a house party larger than 25. The full collection shows each venue's capacity, beds and hire side by side, and asking about dates at Mas Bosc through us costs nothing.
