How much does a wedding at Masia Cabellut cost?

Masia Cabellut is a 12th-century masia on its own vineyard estate in the hills behind Tarragona, and it publishes the three numbers a budget needs: €7,000 for the hire with two nights for 14, catering from €120 a head and a drinks package from €80 a head. This guide adds them up at four guest counts, explains what the hire covers and what it does not, and sets the estate against four other Catalan houses that price a two-night stay into the hire.

Published 25 October 2026 · Every figure from the venues' own published records

Three published numbers

Most Spanish venues publish one figure and leave you to guess the rest. Masia Cabellut publishes three. The hire starts at €7,000 and the venue's note on that figure says it includes a two-night stay for 14. Catering is from €120 per person. A drinks package is from €80 per person. Put together, those three cover the venue, the beds, the food and the bar, which leaves suppliers and transport as the only major lines the record does not touch.

The venue's own description of what the €7,000 includes is short and specific: accommodation, the party venue, the swimming pool, a catering kitchen, a tent and cleaning. The tent is worth pausing on. A seated dinner in the gardens of a valley estate needs cover in reserve, and here it is inside the hire rather than a line from a marquee company.

The sums at four guest counts

Masia Cabellut takes up to 200 for both the ceremony and the reception, from a minimum of two, so the table runs from a mid-sized wedding to a full house. The first total adds the published hire to the published catering; the second adds the drinks package as well. Both stop there, so they are a floor for the venue, the food and the bar, with nothing in them for flowers, photography, music or the guests' hotels.

60 guests · hire €7,000 + catering €7,200 = €14,200 €19,000 with drinks
100 guests · hire €7,000 + catering €12,000 = €19,000 €27,000 with drinks
150 guests · hire €7,000 + catering €18,000 = €25,000 €37,000 with drinks
200 guests · hire €7,000 + catering €24,000 = €31,000 €47,000 with drinks

Because the hire is a smaller share of the total than at the big three-night houses near Sitges, the per-guest cost flattens out early. The food and the bar are the lines that move, and they move in proportion to the list. That makes the estate workable at 60 guests and still sensible at 200, which is not something many venues with beds on site can claim. Our guide to venues for 100 guests shows where it sits among houses of that size.

What the €7,000 leaves out

The hire does not include the food or the drinks, which is why they are priced per head above. It does not include beds for more than 14 people, and the estate has no in-house catering team of its own: the record lists recommended caterers, a supplier list and a hotel recommendation list, which is the shape of a venue that gives you a kitchen and a trusted list rather than a fixed menu. Planning and coordination are not mentioned in the record, so budget for a planner if you want one. A bridal changing room, car parking and disabled access are noted.

Seven doubles and a master suite

Fourteen guests sleep in seven en-suite double rooms, and the master suite looks out over the vines. The two nights are in the price, and the minimum stay is two nights, so the booking is a Friday-to-Sunday or Saturday-to-Monday weekend with the wedding in the middle. For a list of 150, the house takes the couple and a dozen of the people who matter most; everyone else stays in the towns between the estate and the coast. The venue says local accommodation is nearby and keeps a list of hotels, so the overflow question has a ready answer.

That ratio, 14 beds for a wedding of up to 200, is the thing to be honest with yourself about. If you want most of the list staying on the property, the venues with accommodation guide lists the Catalan houses with 30, 40 or 52 beds. If you want a small group in the house and a large one at the party, Cabellut is built for exactly that.

Vows in the dry gardens, the vines or the almond grove

Three ceremony settings are listed. The Cabellut Dry Gardens are the signature setting, with the valley beyond; the vineyard ceremony puts the vows among the estate's own vines; and the almond grove is the shaded, smaller alternative. The estate is not listed as licensed for marriage, which for most foreign couples changes nothing: non-residents can rarely hold the binding civil ceremony in Spain in any case, and hold a symbolic one here with the legal formalities completed at home. Our guide to getting married in Spain walks through the routes.

After dinner in the gardens, the party moves to the estate's open-air amphitheatre, and the record's most quoted line applies: no music curfew and no curfew of any kind, because the nearest neighbours are too far away to mind. For a couple whose main fear is the band being switched off at midnight, that single fact may outweigh every figure on this page.

Flying in and driving up

The record puts the estate 72 km from Barcelona Airport and 42 km from Reus, and the coast about half an hour away. By straight line the nearest of the two is Reus (REU), roughly 26 km off. Barcelona has the wider choice of flights; Reus is the shorter drive. Guests with hire cars park on site. The estate also sells itself on the days around the wedding, with wine tasting, trekking and cooking classes listed, and on its own produce: the record notes solar heating, a certified organic farm, and estate wine and olive oil.

Four other two-night houses in the Barcelona region

The right comparisons are the Catalan houses whose published price carries two nights and whose list runs to a similar size. The four below bracket Cabellut on price, and two of them publish per-head food figures of their own.

  • Capellades · Barcelona

    Masia Font de la Reina

  • Moià · Barcelona

    This Must Be The Place

    up to 180 guests · sleeps 12 · 2-night minimum · from €6,250 · catering €163 a head

  • Santa Margarida i els Monjos · Barcelona

    El Serral Hotel

    up to 250 guests · sleeps 28 · 2-night minimum · from €12,500 · catering €140 a head

Masia Font de la Reina is the budget option of the group at €3,000 with two nights for 25, takes 300 and caters from €122 a head, so it offers more beds and a larger room for less hire, with the trade-off in setting rather than figures. This Must Be The Place is €6,250 with two nights, sleeps 12 and takes 180; its catering is from €163 a head with drinks from €23, which puts more of the total into the food. Mas Bosc is €6,500 with two nights for 20, takes 180 and publishes no food figure. El Serral Hotel is €12,500 with two nights for 28, takes 250 and caters from €140 with drinks from €25. Only Cabellut among them states no curfew at all.

The Barcelona wedding cost guide reads every priced venue in the region together, venues by budget sorts the collection into bands, and the budget calculator turns a table like the one above into a full wedding total with your own supplier figures.

The couple it is built for

Masia Cabellut suits a couple who want a late party more than a large house: a dozen people sleeping on the estate, up to 200 at the dinner, dancing until the sky changes colour and nobody to object. It suits a budget that likes its figures printed, since the hire, the food and the drinks are all on the record, and it suits couples who care where the wine and the oil come from. It suits less well a wedding that wants the whole list under one roof, or an in-house kitchen with a set menu. The full collection shows each venue's figures side by side, and an enquiry through us costs nothing.
