How much does a wedding at Torre Sever cost?

Torre Sever prices a wedding the way a restaurant prices a tasting menu: €145 a head, with a minimum of 80 guests, which gives the published starting figure of €11,600. That sum covers the exclusive hire of a family estate of forest and fields at Caldes de Montbui, the menu, the DJ, two hours of open bar, the furniture, the stationery and the planning. This page explains what that model means in practice, scales it to larger guest counts, and compares it with the other Barcelona-region venues that bundle the food.

One number instead of three

Most venues in the Barcelona collection publish a hire fee and then a per-head catering figure, and leave the drinks, the furniture and the coordination to be priced later. Torre Sever does something different. The published starting price of €11,600 is described by the venue as an all-inclusive package, and the record says it is based on €145 per head for 80 guests. There is no separate hire line to add, and no catering figure to multiply, because both are already in the per-head rate.

The record lists what the rate carries: one day of exclusive venue rental, a personalised menu, a DJ, sound and lighting, two hours of open bar, full planning and coordination, centrepieces, furniture, printed menus and the seating plan, and the full professional team. Additional extras are available on top. For a couple who have been adding up hire, caterer, DJ, furniture hire and planner at other venues, that list is most of the budget in one figure.

The 80-guest minimum, and what it costs to miss it

The reception minimum is 80 and the maximum is 185, and the minimum is not a soft one. The venue states that if the guest number falls short, the amount for 80 is charged anyway. It then softens the rule: the difference can be spent on additional services from the venue, up to a maximum of €1,500, and the record gives a photobooth, getting-ready rooms and late-night snacks as examples. So a wedding of 70 pays for 80 and gets the shortfall back in extras, up to that cap. A wedding of 50 would be paying for a lot of empty chairs, and would do better at a venue priced for a shorter list, which our guide to intimate venues in Spain covers.

Scaled to three guest counts

Because the package is per head, scaling it is straightforward. The rows below take the published rate and apply it at the minimum of 80, at 120, and at the maximum of 185. They assume the per-head rate holds at every size, which the record implies but does not promise, so confirm it on enquiry. They leave out the open bar beyond two hours, any extras, and the accommodation that guests will book elsewhere.

80 guests · €145 a head, all-inclusive €11,600
120 guests · €145 a head, all-inclusive €17,400
185 guests · €145 a head, all-inclusive €26,825

The per-guest cost does not fall as the list grows, which is the main difference from a venue with a fixed hire. What you gain is predictability: the figure at 120 guests is simply the figure at 80 scaled up, with no step change for a bigger marquee or a second bar. The budget calculator can take a per-head figure like this and add the lines the package leaves out, chiefly the photographer, flowers beyond the centrepieces, transport and the hotel rooms.

What the package leaves out

Nobody sleeps on the estate. The record has no accommodation on site, and that is the most important thing to understand about the price: it is a day, not a stay. Guests book into the rural houses and small hotels the venue says are ten minutes away, and Caldes de Montbui is a thermal town in its own right. Transport between the hotels and the estate at the end of the night is a line to budget for, and so is the bar after the two included hours. The record lists a licensed bar, a bridal changing room, a sound system, car parking and disabled access among the venue's features, and children and pets are welcome.

Vows under the trees

The single ceremony setting is the estate's own woodland, with the couple and their guests beneath a canopy of trees. Torre Sever is licensed for marriage, which means the ceremony on the estate can be the legal one for couples eligible to marry in Spain. The licence attaches to the venue rather than the couple: most non-resident foreign couples are not able to hold the binding civil ceremony here and choose a symbolic one in the forest, with the legal step done at home. Our guide to getting married in Spain as a foreign couple walks through the routes. Only one wedding is held per day, so the estate and the team are yours for the whole of it.

Half an hour from Barcelona

Barcelona (BCN) is the nearest airport, 40 km from the estate. The venue puts Barcelona airport at 45km and the city at 30 minutes, which keeps the day simple for a guest list flying in from abroad: one airport, one short road, and a town with hotels at the end of it. The estate itself is a private family property of Mediterranean forest and rolling fields, with the family's own horses, and the kitchen builds its menus from local, seasonal Catalan produce.

Other ways the region prices the food

Only one other venue in the Barcelona collection publishes a from-price with catering and drinks built in, and one more bundles food with a three-night stay. The other two below take the more common route of a day hire plus a per-head figure, so the comparison shows both models side by side.

  • Sant Pere Pescador · Barcelona

    Cortal Gran

    up to 300 guests · from €3,000 · catering €105 a head

  • Tarragona · Barcelona

    Masia Colina

    up to 300 guests · sleeps 2 · 1-night minimum · from €3,400 · catering €145 a head

  • Vilanova del Vallès · Barcelona

    Mas de Sant Lleí

    up to 700 guests · from €10,500

  • Llorenç del Penedès · Barcelona

    Finca La Concertista

    up to 250 guests · sleeps 20 · 3-night minimum · from €25,300

Mas de Sant Lleí is the direct comparison: from €10,500 for 70 guests including catering, a two-hour open bar and a mojito buffet at the dance, licensed for marriage, taking up to 700, and 43km from Barcelona airport. Finca La Concertista in the Penedès is €25,300 for a three-night stay for 20 with food and drink included, so it bundles the beds as well as the meal. Masia Colina in Tarragona charges a day hire of €3,400 and catering from €145 a head, the same per-head figure as Torre Sever but with the hire on top. Cortal Gran on the Costa Brava starts at €3,000 for the castle with catering from €105 and drinks from €21. Set against those, Torre Sever is priced a little above Mas de Sant Lleí for ten more guests, and its package carries the DJ, furniture and coordination that the day-hire venues price separately.

The Barcelona wedding cost guide reads every priced venue in the region the same way, and venues by budget sorts the whole collection into bands.

Who Torre Sever is for

Choose Torre Sever if you have 80 to 185 guests, want a forest ceremony with a licence behind it, and would rather sign one contract that covers the venue, the dinner, the DJ, the furniture and the planner than manage six. It suits couples who want to know the total early and who are happy for guests to sleep in town. It is not for a wedding under 80, and not for a couple who want the party to spill into a second and third day on the same estate, since there are no beds. The guide to venues for 100 guests and the full collection set the alternatives out, and an enquiry through us is free and goes directly to the family.

Questions couples ask us

What is included in the €11,600 at Torre Sever?

The venue describes it as an all-inclusive package for 80 guests at €145 a head: one day of exclusive hire, a personalised menu, DJ, sound and lighting, two hours of open bar, full planning and coordination, centrepieces, furniture, printed menus and the seating plan, and the professional team on the day.

What happens if we have fewer than 80 guests?

The venue charges for the minimum of 80 regardless. The record says the difference can be put towards extras from the venue, up to a maximum of €1,500, such as a photobooth, getting-ready rooms or late-night snacks.

Can guests stay on the estate?

No. Torre Sever has no accommodation of its own. The record points to rural houses and small hotels around ten minutes away, and the venue keeps a hotel recommendation list.

Is the forest ceremony legally binding?

The estate is licensed for marriage, but most non-resident foreign couples cannot hold the binding civil ceremony in Spain. They hold a symbolic ceremony under the trees and complete the legal formalities at home.
