How much does a wedding at Masia Font de la Reina cost?
Masia Font de la Reina lists a three-day Friday-to-Sunday wedding from €3,000 plus VAT, and that figure already carries two nights for 25 guests with breakfast. Food is the larger number: in-house catering starts at €122 a head and covers the welcome drink, the aperitif, dinner and a two-hour open bar. This page takes both figures from the venue's record, works them through at three guest counts and sets the estate against the other Barcelona-region houses that price a weekend the same way.

Two figures, and which one matters
Masia Font de la Reina is a 15th-century stone mansion outside Capellades, in the hills forty minutes from Barcelona and twenty from the coast at Sitges. Most Catalan estates that let you sleep on site charge a five-figure hire for the privilege. This one does not. Its published starting price is €3,000 plus VAT for a Friday-to-Sunday stay, and the venue's own note on that price says it includes two nights for up to 25 guests, breakfast included, with private use of the house and grounds for the whole three days.
That makes the hire almost a footnote in the budget. The figure that moves is the food. The estate caters in-house from €122 a guest, and the record is clear about what that buys: a welcome drink, an aperitif, dinner and two hours of open bar. So for most couples the catering line will be several times the hire, and the question of how much the wedding costs is really a question of how many people are coming.
Worked through at three guest counts
The rows below add the published hire to the published catering and stop. They do not include VAT on the hire, drinks beyond the two-hour open bar, extra nights, or any supplier. Read them as the venue-and-food floor at 80, 120 and 200 guests, and build the rest of the budget on top.
Because the hire is so low, the per-guest cost barely changes as the list grows. An estate priced at €28,000 with the nights in gets much cheaper per head at 150 guests than at 60; here the per-head figure is close to the catering price whatever the size of the wedding. That is good news for a couple with a shorter list, and it is why the venue sits comfortably in the intimate venues guide as well as the lists of houses that take 300.
What is not in the €3,000
The hire is quoted plus VAT, so add that before you compare it with venues that quote gross. Beds beyond 25 are not included; the house has seven restored rooms, and once those are full the remaining guests stay nearby. The record lists a hotel recommendation list among the venue's features, and Capellades and the surrounding villages are the obvious places to look. Nights beyond the two are priced at €800 plus VAT each, which the venue states up front. Weekday weddings are discounted, though the record gives no figure, so ask if a Thursday or a Monday is possible for your guests.
Drinks after the two-hour open bar are not in the catering figure either. The estate has a licensed bar, and how the later hours are charged is a question for the enquiry. Suppliers, from the photographer to the band, are entirely outside both numbers.
Who sleeps on site, and for how long
The two nights in the price cover 25 people across the seven rooms of the stone house, with breakfast. For a wedding of 80 or more, that means the couple, close family and the wedding party sleep on the estate and everyone else is in a hotel or rural house a short drive away. For a wedding of 25 or fewer, the whole party stays, and the weekend becomes a house party with a ceremony in the middle of it.
The estate is built for the longer stay. There is a swimming pool, the grounds are private across all three days, and the venue welcomes children and pets, which matters when a family is together for a weekend rather than an evening. The record lists wine tasting as an experience the venue can arrange, and the estate is part of the collection's sustainable group. Our guide to three-day wedding weekends in Spain covers how couples fill the Friday and the Sunday.
Ceremony, capacity and the late hours
Two ceremony settings are listed. The first is outdoors on the estate, within its 1,000 square metres of private space. The second is a church in Capellades, a short drive away, with the celebration back at the house afterwards. The record does not list the house as licensed for marriage, so a couple wanting a legally binding ceremony would use the church, or hold a symbolic ceremony on the estate and do the paperwork at home. Our guide to getting married in Spain sets out what foreign couples can and cannot do here.
The grounds hold up to 300 guests, and the indoor room seats 130, so a dinner for more than that is an outdoor or marquee affair. The reception minimum is two. And there is no curfew on outdoor music, which the venue puts forward as one of its main selling points: the dancing goes on as long as you want it to, with a sound system already on site.
Getting there
The closest airport by straight line is Barcelona (BCN), roughly 42 km away. The venue describes itself as forty minutes from Barcelona and twenty from Sitges, so guests fly into Barcelona, hire a car or share transfers, and are at the house inside an hour. The estate's wine tasting, listed among its experiences, is the obvious Saturday-morning activity for guests staying the weekend. There is car parking on site and disabled access.
Other two-night houses near Barcelona
The four venues below also publish a price that carries a stay, and all sit at the lower end of the region's price band. None of them is as cheap as Font de la Reina for the nights, and each attaches a different number of beds to the figure.
Enfesta · Barcelona
Castle of Enfesta | Castell d’Enfestaup to 250 guests · sleeps 2 · from €4,500 · catering €119 a head
Masllorenç · Barcelona
Masia Cabellutup to 200 guests · sleeps 14 · 2-night minimum · from €7,000 · catering €120 a head
Castell d'Enfesta is a castle an hour from Barcelona at €4,500, but the stay inside that figure is one night for the couple alone, with catering at €119 a head and a licence for marriage. Masia Can Ramonet is €5,000 with two nights for 30, inside the Garraf park ten minutes from Sitges, and sleeps up to 40 across three houses. Mas Bosc is €6,500 with two nights for 20, takes 180 and charges extra nights at €40 plus VAT per person. Masia Cabellut is €7,000 with two nights for 14, caters from €120 and publishes drinks from €80, with no curfew of any kind. Set against those, Font de la Reina gives more beds for less hire than any of them, and the trade is that the catering figure is the highest of the group.
The Barcelona cost guide works through every priced venue in the region, venues by budget sorts the collection into bands, and the budget calculator turns a from-price and a catering figure into a full estimate at your own guest count.
Who it suits
Masia Font de la Reina suits a couple who want a weekend rather than a day, who have a large list and a modest budget for the venue itself, and who want to put the money into the dinner and the party instead of the hire. It also suits a small wedding of 25 who want the whole house and all three days for a sum that elsewhere buys a single evening. It is less of a fit for a couple who need every guest under one roof, since the beds stop at 25, or who want the legal ceremony on the lawn. The accommodation guide lists the houses that sleep more. For everything else, the full collection shows each venue's figures side by side, and enquiring through us is free.
Questions couples ask us
What does the €3,000 at Masia Font de la Reina actually buy?
A Friday-to-Sunday stay with private use of the estate across all three days, two nights of accommodation for up to 25 guests with breakfast, and the venue to yourselves. The figure is quoted plus VAT. Catering is separate, from €122 a guest.
Can we add a third night?
Yes. The venue lists additional nights at €800 plus VAT each, so a Thursday arrival or a Monday departure is a known cost rather than a negotiation. The minimum stay is two nights.
How many guests can the estate hold?
Up to 300 across the grounds, with 130 seated in the indoor room. The reception minimum is two, so the price works for a small wedding as well as a large one, although the beds only cover 25.
Is there a music curfew?
No. The venue states there is no curfew on outdoor music, which is unusual for a Catalan estate and one of the reasons couples choose it for a long weekend rather than a single evening.
