How much does a wedding at Son Doblons cost?
Son Doblons publishes a from-price of €15,000, and its record adds two facts that change what the number means: accommodation is included, and the minimum stay is five nights. So the figure buys a restored villa and 130 hectares of Mallorcan countryside for the better part of a week, with beds for 18, and the wedding is one evening inside that stay. The catering is by recommended caterers and quoted separately. This guide reads the hire from the record, works out what a five-night exclusive booking does to a budget, and sets the estate against the island's one-day fincas.

A week in the country, not a day's hire
The first thing to understand about Son Doblons is that its €15,000 is not priced per wedding day. The record states a minimum stay of five nights and says the accommodation is included in the hire, and the venue describes itself as best for exclusive-use stays of five nights or more with the wedding party living on the estate. Read together, those lines describe a house party with a wedding in the middle of it. You take the villa on, say, a Wednesday, the guests who sleep on site settle in, the wedding happens on the Saturday, and the estate is yours until the Monday.
The estate is a recently restored villa on 130 hectares of open Mallorcan countryside, with seven linked gardens, a large pool, and views that run out to the sea on one side and the hills on the other. The architecture is traditional to the island, with fountains, lily ponds and olive trees, and the restoration added the modern comforts without removing the old character. It is exclusive use: for the length of the stay nobody else is on the land.
What the €15,000 pays for
Three things are inside the published figure. The first is the villa and its 130 hectares, exclusively, for the five-night minimum. The second is accommodation for 18 people, which the record lists as included rather than as an extra. The third is the staff and structure that come with a venue of this kind: an on-site planner, a licensed bar, a bridal changing room, car parking, a supplier list and a recommended hotel list. The hire is published for the 2027 to 2028 season.
It helps to break the hire down, and the two divisions below are computed from the record, not typed in. Spread across the five nights of the minimum stay, the hire comes to €3,000 a night for the whole estate. Spread across the 18 beds, it is €833 a person for five nights in a private villa with a pool, before anyone has thought about the wedding at all. Seen that way, the hire looks less like a venue fee and more like a villa rental that happens to allow 220 people through the gates on one of its evenings.
The food, and why this page has no catering table
The estate lists recommended caterers among its features rather than an in-house kitchen, and it publishes no per-head figure for food or drink. That is the one line of the budget this page cannot fill in. For a guest list of 100 or 150 the catering will be a large number, and at a finca with outside caterers it usually includes the kitchen set-up, the staff and the hire of tables, chairs and linen as well as the menu. Ask the planner for the recommended list and get two quotes early, because at this venue the food will decide whether the wedding costs more or less than the villa does.
What the record does say about the evening is specific: after the dinner reception, an open bar and a disco run in the olive esplanade. Whether the open bar is inside the hire or charged by the caterer is worth confirming in writing when you enquire. The budget calculator lets you put a per-head figure of your own against the hire and see the total move with the guest count.
Seven gardens, the esplanade and the ceremony
The day moves through the estate rather than staying in one place. Guests arrive at the entrance arches for welcome drinks, and the ceremony follows outdoors in the gardens. There are seven of them, joined by pathways of jasmine and bougainvillea, each with its own fountains and ponds of water lilies, so the planner has a choice of settings for the vows and the drinks that follow. Dinner can go in the gardens or by the pool, and the olive esplanade takes the dancing. The record gives a capacity of 220 for the ceremony and 220 for the reception, from a minimum of 2, which makes this one of the larger estates on the island.
The record does not list a marriage licence among the estate's features. For most couples reading this it will not matter: non-resident foreigners generally cannot hold the legally binding civil ceremony in Spain, so the garden ceremony is a symbolic one and the paperwork is done at home before or after. Our guide to how to get married in Spain explains who qualifies for a legal ceremony and how the symbolic route works.
Eighteen on the estate, the rest on the hotel list
Accommodation for 18 is in the hire, which in practice means the couple, parents, siblings and a few close friends live on the estate for the week. Everyone else stays nearby; the record notes that local accommodation is available and that the venue keeps a recommended hotel list. For a wedding of 220 that is a lot of guests in hotels, and transport to and from an estate of this size on the wedding evening is a line to budget, particularly with a bar and disco running late. For a wedding of 40 or 50, the balance tips the other way: a third of the party sleeps at the villa and the rest are a short drive off.
For the five nights, the 18 who stay have the pool, the gardens and 130 hectares to walk, and the record marks the estate as child friendly and pets welcome. Our guide to three-day wedding weekends in Spain looks at how to pace a long stay, and venues with accommodation lists the other Spanish houses where part of the party sleeps on site.
Forty kilometres from Palma Airport, or the helipad
The record puts Palma Airport at 40 km from the estate and the city of Palma at around 50 km, and there is a helipad on the land for anyone who would rather not drive. By straight line the nearest airport is Palma (PMI), about 44 km away. The estate lies in the island's north-east, so guests staying in Palma face the longer transfer and those staying in the towns nearer the estate the shorter one. Car parking is on site, and the on-site planner is the person to ask about coaches for the wedding evening.
Against the island's one-day fincas
Every other priced Mallorca estate in the collection sells a day, or a day with one night for the couple, so the gap between their hires and this one is mostly the extra nights and the beds that come with them. The four below are the comparison.
Finca Son Sampol is the closest in spirit: an exclusive-use finca at €4,800 for the day that sleeps 16, takes 200 and caters from €150 a head. Finca Binissati publishes €4,500 including one night for the couple, sleeps 8 and takes 200. Finca Morneta is also €4,500 with a night for 2, takes 150, and is the one that publishes its catering at €120 a head and drinks at €60. Finca Son Vila is the lowest hire on the island at €3,500 and the largest, with room for 300. Book any of them for a Saturday and the party goes back to hotels that night. Book Son Doblons and the party is still there on Sunday morning, which is what the difference in the hire is buying.
The Mallorca wedding cost guide reads all of the island's published figures together, and venues by budget places the whole Spanish collection in bands so a five-night hire can be seen next to the day hires.
Is Son Doblons the right choice?
Choose it if the wedding is the centre of a week rather than the whole of it: a long stay with close family and friends in a private villa, a large garden ceremony and dinner for anyone up to 220, and a disco under the olives to finish. The hire makes most sense when the 18 beds are full every night and the guest list is large enough to use the gardens. If you want one day, a lower hire and a hotel in Palma, Son Sampol or Son Vila will serve you better. If the list is small and the stay is the point, the intimate venues guide has houses sized for it. The full collection lays every venue's figures out side by side, and asking us about dates costs nothing.

The estate publishes a from-price of €15,000 for the 2027 to 2028 season. The record states that accommodation is included and that the minimum stay is five nights, so the figure is for an exclusive stay with the wedding inside it rather than for a single day.
