How much does a wedding at Hospes Maricel & Spa cost?
Hospes Maricel publishes a wedding package from €15,000 for 60 guests, and the venue's own note on that figure says it includes the catering and the drinks. That makes it a different proposition from the island's fincas, where the hire is the small number and the food is the large one. This guide reads the package straight from the record, explains what sits inside it and what does not, looks at the 102 beds that let the whole party sleep above the sea, and sets the hotel beside the Mallorca estates that price a wedding the other way round.

One figure with three things inside it
Most Spanish venues publish a hire and leave the food to a later quote. Hospes Maricel & Spa does the reverse. Its published starting price is €15,000, the record attaches that figure to a wedding of 60 guests, and the note beside it reads "includes catering and drinks". So the single number already carries the three things that usually arrive as three separate lines: the use of the hotel, the wedding breakfast from the in-house kitchen, and what the licensed bar pours. The packages are published for the 2027 to 2028 season, and the venue has said separately that a limited number of 2026 dates remain open.
The hotel stands directly on the water on the Mallorcan coast, and it is really two buildings. The Palace Building is the older of the pair, built in stone, and the Natura Building is its contemporary wing. The terraces run between them above the waves. When the hotel is booked for a wedding it is booked exclusively, so the only people on those terraces are the ones you invited.
What the package leaves unsaid
The record gives no per-head catering figure and no per-head drinks figure, which is what you would expect of a package rather than a menu. That has two consequences for a budget. The first is welcome: a wedding of 60 can be planned from one known number, which is unusual in this collection. The second needs care: the record does not say how the figure moves once the guest list passes 60, so a couple with 100 or 170 names needs a written quote from the hotel before the number means anything. When you enquire, ask for the price per additional guest, for the menu the package is built on, and whether the bar runs all evening or for a stated number of hours.
Outside the package, as at every venue, sit the photographer, the florist, the band and any transport. The on-site planner coordinates the day and the hotel keeps a supplier list, so those lines are easier to fill than at a bare-hire estate, but they are not inside the €15,000 and they should be budgeted from the start.
Reading the price at 60 guests, and above
Because the record ties the price to 60 guests and folds in the food and the drink, the fairest way to read it is as a per-head figure for that first room of sixty. Divided across the 60 guests the package names, the starting price works out at €250 a head with catering and drinks already inside it. That is the number to hold against the island's fincas, where the hire alone looks modest but the catering arrives at €120 or €150 a head before a single drink is counted.
For a longer list the arithmetic is unknown until the hotel quotes, so this page prints no table. The hotel seats up to 170 for the ceremony and 170 for the reception, from a minimum of 2, using the indoor rooms and the sea-facing terrace together. A wedding of 150 will cost more than one of 60, but the record does not say by how much, and we will not guess at the rate. The budget calculator lets you try a per-head figure of your own against the hire-plus-catering fincas at the same guest count, and the guide to venues for 100 guests shows how other venues scale.
Beds for 102, and who gets them
The venue describes rooms for up to 102 guests, and states the point of them plainly: nobody travels after dinner. For a wedding of 60, the entire party sleeps in the hotel with beds left over. For a list of 102 or fewer the same holds. Only at the top of the range, towards the 170 ceiling, do some guests sleep elsewhere, and for them the hotel keeps a recommendation list of nearby hotels. The record states no minimum stay and no nightly rate, so ask whether the rooms come with the exclusivity or are booked by guests individually, and at what price.
Guests who stay have the spa and the pool, and several direct paths lead from the grounds straight down to the beach. The hotel can also organise yacht charter, watersports and bikes, which is a programme for the days either side of the wedding already written. Our guide to Spanish venues with accommodation covers the other houses and hotels where the party sleeps on site, and the three-day weekend guide looks at how to pace a stay of that length.
The terrace, the rooms and the legal question
Two ceremony settings are listed. The main one is the sea-facing terrace, set above the water, which is where most couples will want to say their vows. The other is indoors, in the hotel's rooms, which matters in the shoulder months and on the rare wet day. The record does not list a marriage licence among the hotel's features, and in practice that changes little: most non-resident foreign couples cannot hold the legally binding civil ceremony in Spain in any case, and instead hold a symbolic one here with the paperwork completed at home. Our guide to how to get married in Spain sets out the routes, including the options for couples who do qualify for a legal ceremony on Spanish soil.
Arriving, parking and practicalities
The nearest airport by straight line is Palma (PMI), about 12 km from the hotel. A seafront hotel a short drive from the island's airport is about as easy as a destination wedding gets for guests arriving from several countries on different flights, and the hotel's car parking means guests who hire a car have somewhere to leave it. Being a hotel rather than a farm, it also has the practical features a finca sometimes lacks: disabled access, a bridal changing room, and a sound system already in place. The record marks the hotel as child friendly and pets welcome, and lists it in our sustainable collection.
Beside the island's hire-first fincas
The other priced Mallorca venues in the collection are country estates that publish a hire and quote the catering separately, so the comparison is between two pricing models rather than two like-for-like figures. The three below show the pattern.
Finca Morneta publishes a hire of €4,500 that includes one night for the couple, with catering from €120 a head and drinks from €60, for up to 150 guests. Finca Son Sampol is €4,800 to hire, caters from €150 a head, sleeps 16 and takes 200. Finca Binissati is €4,500 with a night for 2, sleeps 8, takes 200 and quotes the food on enquiry. At all three the hire is a fraction of the eventual bill and the catering and drinks for 60 people are where the money goes. At Hospes Maricel the published €15,000 has already absorbed them, and it arrives with 102 beds and the sea at the foot of the terrace.
The Mallorca wedding cost guide reads every priced venue on the island in the same way, and venues by budget sorts the whole Spanish collection into bands so a package like this one can be seen beside the hires.
Who the hotel suits
Choose Hospes Maricel if you want a sea-facing wedding where the party stays together, the food and the bar are settled in one figure, and the days around the wedding have a spa, a beach and a boat to fill them. The package rewards a list near the 60 it is written for, and a couple with 100 or more guests should get the quote in writing before falling for the terrace. If the appeal of Mallorca is a farmhouse, olive trees and a caterer of your choosing, the fincas above do that for a lower hire and a larger catering bill. For a smaller gathering still, the intimate venues guide lists the houses built for it. The full collection puts every venue's figures side by side, and an enquiry through us costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Questions couples ask us
How much does a wedding at Hospes Maricel & Spa cost?
The hotel publishes a package from €15,000 for 60 guests for the 2027 to 2028 season, and the record states that the figure includes catering and drinks. Larger guest lists, up to the hotel's ceiling of 170, are quoted on enquiry.
Are the catering and the drinks really inside the €15,000?
Yes, according to the venue's own note on the price. The hotel caters in-house and has a licensed bar, and the package for 60 guests covers both. What it does not cover are outside suppliers such as photography, flowers and music.
Can all the guests stay at the hotel?
The hotel is taken exclusively for a wedding and has rooms for up to 102 guests. For a wedding of 60 that is every guest with beds to spare; for the full 170 the hotel keeps a recommendation list for the overflow.
Where does the ceremony take place?
Either on the sea-facing terrace above the water, which is the main outdoor setting, or inside one of the hotel's rooms. Most foreign couples hold a symbolic ceremony on the terrace and complete the legal paperwork at home.
